The pruning season, started last Friday, and will take about 4 months - the time required to prune the 130 000 vines (about 6000 per hectare). The electronic secateurs come in handy!

Experiment. This year we are trying to create our very own compost from local cattle manure. The objective is to bring a natural, healthy fertilizer which origin we know. Another interest is to bring a very living material (microorganism, bacteria, mushrooms...) that will nourish our grounds. In order for the manure to become compost we've aired it with a spreader. This heap will fermend during the following days.
